Women's Ministry

Bible Study

We have an amazing group of women that gather Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room of the church. We take turns reading the Bible, sharing, and discussing questions. A variety of topics are covered, with our current topic being Fusion: Trees. This topic discusses how God has used wood to proclaim His gospel messages in both the Old and New Testament.

Our Bible Study is a great time to learn, laugh, share, and have fun with caring, like-minded women. We'd love to have you join us.

Our Mission

As Lutheran Women in Mission, we joyfully proclaim Christ, support missions, and equip women to honor God by serving others.

Missions We Support

We have a variety of missions we support as ways to give back to others. Each year we select an organization in our community to assist. A recent organization we donated to is White Mountain Villas, a low income community for seniors 62 and older.

Hope House

Hope House Maternity Home is a safe place for pregnant mothers to stay if they are homeless or not receiving the support they need.

Thank you to those who contributed/donated to this worthy cause. Because of your generosity, we raised $3000.00 for Hope House and are applying for a matching grant of another $3000.00 from the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Prayer Ministry for Ukraine

In celebration of LWML's 80th year, for the next 80 days and beyond, the Dorcas ministry at Shepherd of the Mountains will be in prayer for church leaders, pastors, missionaries and workers in the Ukraine. Each member has the name of one individual in need of our daily prayerful support. Donations supporting Ukraine ministries can also be made through the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

We knit and crochet prayer shawls or lap robes for those who are struggling with medical conditions, grieving the loss of a loved one, or are in need of comfort and care.

Annual Christmas Baked Goods Sale

The Women's Ministry bakes goods for our annual Christmas Baked Goods Sale. The proceeds of this fundraiser go to the needs of our church.
